Haven Lodge sits within 60 acres of natural woodland at Kenwick Woods, near the market town of Louth on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The lodge is part of the Kenwick Park Estate, which also includes a hotel, golf club and restaurant—all within walking distance if you fancy venturing out. The setting puts you within reach of both countryside and coast: sandy beaches at Mablethorpe and Skegness are a short drive away, as are nature reserves, Lincoln's cathedral and shopping, and attractions like Cadwell Park Racing Circuit.

The property is a detached lodge with everything on one level. Two bedrooms—a kingsize and two singles—and a bathroom with bath and shower sit alongside a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a living area with a large TV, and a veranda with garden furniture and views over the grounds. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; the heating comes from air source heat pumps. There is parking for two cars on site. The lodge does not permit smoking. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

Louth town centre is three miles away and has a pub and restaurant within half a mile of the lodge. For families, the Meridian Leisure Centre 1½ miles away has swimming pools including a children's section and a flume.

A very pleasant and clean cabin set in Kenwick Woods. I recently stayed in Haven Lodge with my family, and was very happy with the experience. This property consists of two bedrooms (a double and a twin), a family bathroom and an open plan lounge/diner/kitchen, and is equipped with all basic appliances and utensils you'd expect. The cabin is smaller than others in the area but we found it to have plenty of space for our family of 4 for a week. Two small downsides were the complimentary swimming pool passes had expired, so our daily swim was chargeable, and the cabins in the site were a little closer together than we envisaged. That being said, we had a lovely relaxing time away from our busy lifestyles.
