About Barmston Farm

The site is gated and feels secluded, despite being just outside Beverley. Showers are available on site.

Guests report finding the cottages and lodges well-maintained and comfortable, with enough thought given to amenities to make a stay straightforward. The fishing lake is the draw for many; it's well-stocked and a genuine focal point. The farm animals add to the rural atmosphere without being intrusive. We travelled all the way from Australia to stay at Barmston Farm in Yorkshire, and it truly exceeded every expectation. Otter Cottage is absolutely beautiful, a real home away from home. It’s incredibly comfortable, cosy, and thoughtfully set up with every amenity you could possibly need. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making guests feel welcome and relaxed from the moment you arrive. The farm itself is just as wonderful. The fishing lake and surrounding grounds are peaceful and perfect for exploring, whether you're enjoying a quiet walk or simply soaking in the countryside. One of the biggest highlights for our family was the animals. The gorgeous friendly sheep, the alpacas, and especially the baby pygmy goats were an absolute delight. They made the stay even more special and memorable. Dana and Zane are fantastic hosts, so kind, welcoming, and always helpful while still giving you space to enjoy the farm at your own pace. Barmston Farm is a truly special place, and we feel very lucky to have experienced it. We travelled a long way from Australia, and it was worth every kilometre. We would absolutely love to return one day.

Having previously stayed at Barmston farm 3 years ago and having an amazing weekend we were looking forward to returning. On arrival it was very clear that Dana and Zane has taken Barmston farm on with a vision of making it 5 star holiday location. Lots of work had taken place and all for the better, everywhere was tidier, care and thought put into every detail. We stayed in otter cottage and it was amazing, everything thought of, from a fully equipped kitchen down to toiletries supplied in the bath room. Dana and Zane shortly introduced themselves and was as welcoming as ever, we returned on Saturday from a trip to the local area and found free range eggs had been left in our accommodation. Nothing was too much of a problem and any requests we had were fulfilled. The added advantage to Barmston farm is the fishing lake, well stocked and maintained, work was in progress on our visit but Zane was more than happy to explain his vision and I’m sure once work is complete the fishing lake will prove a great asset to Barmston. The farm also boasts a small petting area where you can meet the residents of Barmston farm including highland cows, very friendly sheep, alpacas, chickens and the very playful goats. I would highly recommend Barmston farm if you are looking for accommodation in the Hull/Beverly area.

This was our 5th year visiting Barmston and our 2nd visit since Dana, Zane & family took over last year. We commented at the time on the work (tlc) done around the site in the short time they had been in residence. The additional work that has been done from then to now is, once again, to be commended. We stayed in one of the new lodges - one word- brilliant - very comfortable with all needs covered - very Impressive. The fishing, despite the best efforts of the very high temperatures to put the fish (and us) to sleep was a good as ever with great strides taken to improve access to the lake which was still ongoing so can only improve choices etc, further. As ever we were welcomed with open arms by Dana and the staff and enjoyed our various conversations throughout our stay with all. We are looking forward to our next visit in the near future so keep up the good work. One word of caution (very minor) if you live in a town, city or non rural area. The dawn chorus is very loud but impressive, as is the relaxed atmosphere we enjoyed.

We have just returned from our stay in kingfisher Lodge and all I can say is wow lovely and comfortable clean and modern with lots of lovely personal touches making it such a lovely place to spend some time. We where met by Matt after we arrived hes the farm manager just came to make sure we had everything we needed and new how to work everything such a pleasant guy and very approachable so thanks Matt for that. The site is small and friendly with only 5 brand new lodges and 4 cottages, theres lots of animals on site its like a small petting farm great if you have children with you theres alo a games room with a pool table dart board and some board games theres a brand new play park for the children to so plenty of things to keep the little ones amused. My husband is a keen fisherman and took advantage of the great fishing available on the 3 acre lake he had some lovely carp out whilst there the lake has an otter fence all the way round it and sits slightly away from where the lodges are so its always peaceful and quiet with plenty of good sized well maintained pegs fishing is only available to customers staying on site which is an added bonus as theres always plenty of pegs available. We had a lovely chilled out time here at Barmston farm park Dana and Zane the owners are doing a fantastic job of regenerating the park to a five star standard we look forward to returning in the near future many thanks
