About Burton Constable Holiday Park and Arboretum
The Holderness plain around Hull is flat and agricultural, but Burton Constable Holiday Park sits within the grounds of Burton Constable estate, where an arboretum and ornamental lake lift the landscape. The site takes tents, caravans and motorhomes on grass pitches with electric hook-ups, as well as nine camping pods and a range of static lodges and glamping accommodation for those without their own equipment.
Facilities are comprehensive: sanitary blocks with showers, laundry, washing-up areas, a chemical disposal point and water/drainage hook-ups for caravans. There is a bar and café on site, plus a shop for essentials. Disabled access, children's play areas and pet-friendly pitches make it straightforward for families and those with dogs. The grounds are maintained to a high standard, and the lake and woodland walks appeal to anyone seeking a quieter break away from the coast.
The site sits just outside Sproatley village, roughly midway between Hull and the Lincolnshire border, making it convenient for exploring the East Riding without being on the main tourist trail. It is not a beachside destination, but suits campers after peaceful surroundings and good facilities rather than seaside activity.
Visitors say this holiday park offers well-equipped and immaculately clean accommodations, including lodges, caravans, and glamping pods, with spotless shower and toilet facilities. They also highlight the peaceful and quiet atmosphere, beautiful grounds, and scenic lake views. Guests mention the staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive, and appreciate the convenient on-site shop, cafe, and bar.

What visitors say
Lovely campsite, beautiful location. The drive up towards reception is a wow factor to start with. We had a riverside pitch which was just lovely. Waking up to a beautiful view, swans with cygnets on the lake....who could ask for more. Facilities were kept immaculate, thoroughly cleaned, the whole site was kept really tidy. Friendly warden and staff. The lakeside bar was lovely to sit outside overlooking the lake. Great dog walk, good size and very secure to let our dog have a free run. As well as this there are lovely walks round the lake. We enjoyed an afternoon at BC Hall and Parkland ..a definite place to visit. This was our first time here and we will definitely return.

Gorgeous park. Beautiful setting. Glamping pod was lovely and clean. Lakeland bar and Woodland Store (with cafe) were really good and reasonably priced. Staff lovely too. Only criticism was that we paid to fish but the lakes weren't really fishable due to excessive water lily's in the North Lake and low water level with lots of weed on the south lake. 2 lads who had season tickets were trying to fish and struggling, just pulling out weed. Such a shame as other than that it was perfect. We did a day trip to Hornsea, Bridlington and Flamborough. Flamborough was amazing with lots of seals!

What a wonderful place to visit. It is an amazing beautiful place. All around very clean, quiet and with very friendly staff. I will definitely come back with my little one, which also really enjoyed the place. Plenty of things for little ones to see, including the park. The pod was very clean, including the toilet facilities and shower. It became our new favourite place. Plus there is a beach 25 minutes away (Burnsea beach) which is 5 stars mainly if you have kids.

Wow - the glampimg pods were very well equipped (deluxe) and surpassed our expectations. The grounds are absolutely amazing. Fantastic cafe and ice cream from the general shop on site and a great bar to sit put and enjoy the views and peaceful atmosphere. The shower and toilet facilities are the best we've experienced as campers. A great stay all round.
