Beam Cottage is a stone bungalow perched on the Flamborough cliffs, its solid construction built to withstand the coastal weather. The whole property is on ground level, accessed by a single step—living room with bay window and Freesat television, dining room opening onto the garden through French doors, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with both gas and electric hobs, and a bedroom with king-size bed. The shower room has a heated towel rail. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard.
The rear garden is the real draw. Enclosed and south-facing, it catches the afternoon sun and comes with a barbecue, garden furniture and reclining chairs. Evening here means watching the lighthouse beam sweep across the water with a glass in hand. Parking for two cars is provided on the property, and smoking is not permitted.
Flamborough village is a short walk away, with a chip shop of local repute, small shops and pubs nearby. The surrounding headland offers walking and birdwatching—the cliffs, coves and RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve are all close by, and there are caves to explore if you're prepared to venture further afield.
