The Rocket

Couples and small families will find The Rocket works well as a coastal base. It's a single bedroom with two bathrooms—one en-suite to the bedroom with a walk-in shower, one separate with both a freestanding bath and a second walk-in shower. The living area is open-plan, combining sitting and dining space, and the kitchen is compact but fully equipped for self-catering. Everything is on the first floor, accessed by stepping down from the hallway. The building itself is a Victorian train station, repurposed in 2021 and named after famous locomotives; original features like the decorative fireplace and wooden flooring remain.

Flamborough village sits on the Yorkshire coast, and the headland with its little sandy bay is a twenty-five minute walk away. The cliffs above offer long walks with views towards the RSPB Bird Sanctuary at Bempton and Filey Brigg. Bridlington, with its sandy beaches and leisure facilities including a swimming pool, is three miles south. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There's bike storage and on-road parking. No smoking inside.
