About Bluebell Coppice Park

Bluebell Coppice Park is a campground set in woodland near Battle in East Sussex. The site has en-suite pitches alongside standard options, all well-maintained, with clean showers and reliable hot water. An honesty shop is on hand for basics, and the kitchen produces burgers, pizzas and breakfasts rather than relying on a restaurant, so you can eat without leaving the site.

The woodland setting keeps things quiet and peaceful. Staff are noted for being friendly and helpful. There are play areas for children. Crowhurst village is a short walk away, and the station is just up the road if you need a train connection. The scale of the site means it fills up at peak times rather than feeling like an endless caravan park, so book ahead in summer.

I've seen a lot of really positive reviews about this site and I'm a bit confused. We were given a small pitch, a flattened area with a steep drop to one side... which we then had to share with a large group of strangers. It was like tetris to fit both tents in the space and the whole weekend was incredibly uncomfortable. We had no space and absolutely no privacy. Our tents were less than 2m apart, which aside from how awkward it was, just plainly isn't safe. Fire pits were inches from tents, and just a couple of steps away from cars. Seems highly unlikely to me that their insurance company is aware of this...? And it wasn't helped by the fact our neighbours played loud music (which is against the rules) until quite late. We did ask the wardens to quiten things down, but they ineffectually asked them to turn it down rather than off. Children were also screaming and playing in the woods by our tent until around 11pm. We camp a lot, we're not new to it, and it was a very very loud site just because everyone was so crammed in close together. As the whole site is so crowded there is no space, so children were running around guy ropes, on the roads and most worryingly, several times nearly into where we were cooking. There is a big pile of rubbish at the entrance which isn't a great welcome. Honestly, the whole place is an accident waiting to happen. I really recommend not staying here.

What a fantastic site. Greeted warmly by the very friendly owners and staff and shown the site. We stayed on a hard standing pitch with electric and loved every minute of it. The options here for camping are so varied as well that there really is something for everyone. The facilities are also great the honesty shop is lovely and has a washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave and a brilliant little coffee machine. The food sold here is so tasty I would come back just for that with freshly cooked burgers and chips and a large variety of breakfast options its well worth the money. The location is so quiet and surrounded by trees it's beautiful. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.

A lovely quiet campsite next to a beautiful wood. We have just returning from a 3 night camping trip, the en-suite tent pitches are great & such a good idea!

My partner, daughter rand I had a really lovely stay at Bluebell Coppice Park. The site is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful woodland, which makes it feel very relaxing. The pitches are spacious and private, and the facilities are well maintained. The owners were very welcoming and their hospitality made the stay even better. It’s a great spot for families, with plenty of space for children to enjoy, and the honesty shop on site is a really nice touch. The location is ideal as Hastings beach and the charming Old Town are only about a 10–15 minute drive away, so it’s easy to enjoy a day out by the sea before coming back to the calm of the campsite. Overall, a friendly and relaxing place that I’d happily return to.
