About Meadow View Camping and Caravan Site
Meadow View sits on the edge of the village of Wicken, around ten miles south-east of Ely and close to the National Trust's Wicken Fen nature reserve, making it a good base for combining a cathedral city visit with some of the last undrained fenland in the country.
The site offers eight pitches across level grass and hard-standing pitches for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, all with electric hook-up and access to free showers, toilets and water points, plus on-site WiFi and a small shop for essentials. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge. Those without their own kit can book a four-person timber glamping pod, complete with a futon, bunks, television, microwave and kettle, or one of three static caravans available to rent by the night.
With Ely's cathedral around ten miles away and Wicken Fen within easy reach on foot or by bike, the site works well both as a standalone fenland retreat and as a slightly more distant, quieter alternative to camping in Ely itself.
