I visted a relative who sold up a bricks and mortor place which needed money spending on it. The park has a lovely safe feel to it. Security is very good. The standard of finish is high and the multi aspect of the livibg area geeat. Its quite cramped on the site and privacy is minimal. You xan move in with just a suitcase giving it an airbnb feel. I felt i was on holiday there! That is nice! The hefty monthly fee on top of utilities and CT makes it an expensive option. Resale is possible but the site owner takes 10pc. Expensive to purchase buuut... great for releasing equity, downsizing, decluttering in old age and amenities close by. Doesnt work for everyone but does for some

Nicely decorated and staged units in a selection of sizes. These "park homes" are on a clean site near the sea that's being redeveloped and the old static caravans are being moved on. They are more of a lifestyle purchase for an active retirement than a financial one. Money wise they are expensive compared to a bricks and mortar purchase and carry a hefty monthly service fee on top of the usual utility bills.

I have lived here on the Thorney Bay caravan side of the sandy bay development, please do your research into who owns sandy bay, they owned and ran the caravan park that I lived in for 6 years, although I enjoyed living near the sea my experiences with the owners were really bad, they were terribly disorganised from the outset, took forever to fix any problems with the caravan and any work done was really shoddy and sometimes never done, was accused of not paying my rent at least a couple of times but when they found that I had paid they never apologised, I moved out June 2024 after been given 2 months notice to leave, everyone has been given notice to leave, they were supposed to give me my deposit back but they haven't so far, the reason they gave is that I owe them 4 weeks rent, but they can't even tell me when I owe it from!! Have heard that this is far from uncommon!! Beware!! The owners are the same for sandy bay
