About Black Rock Caravan and Camping Park
Black Rock Caravan and Camping Park near Evanton takes caravans, motorhomes, glamping units and static lodges. The standout feature is the facilities block: each pitch has its own individual shower and toilet room with good water pressure, rather than shared communal facilities. The pitches themselves are spacious and well-maintained, and there are also pods available.
The site sits beside a river in a peaceful setting. Staff are attentive and offer local advice. Within walking distance are a pub, shops and access to the Black Rock Gorge. The park suits anyone wanting a quiet riverside location with the convenience of private washing facilities on their pitch.

What visitors say
We received the warmest of welcomes from Garry (The Manager) in spite of arriving just after 1pm when check in was actually from 3pm! I was mortified but Garry couldn’t have been any more helpful or friendly to us. We stayed for 3 nights on a fully serviced gravel pitch. It was a spacious pitch for our twin axle tourer & awning, clean on arrival & well maintained. It was also great value for money. It’s a pretty site next to the river & quiet relaxing when we stayed. The toilets & showers are spotless. The location is spot on for touring around the Black Isle & there are many great woodland walks from the site. The local pub is dog friendly & we were made to feel very welcome. We are there & the food was great, big portions & a discount for Black Rock guests. There’s also a new Indian take away, also delicious & great value. There’s a local Coop for all the basics too. We would highly recommend & will definitely be back.

A beautiful riverside site, peaceful and calming within easy walking of Evanton and its pub & shops. Facilities are some of the best I’ve found - 6 individual units each housing toilet, wash basin and shower and all clean and well stocked. There’s also a kitchen/dish washing room and WashMe laundry machines (card/smartphone only). The site manager was welcoming & showed us to our pitch and pointed out all the facilities and local shops etc. A great site and highly recommended.

I had a lovely stay at Black Rock Caravan Park. The setting is beautiful and really peaceful, with a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to switch off. Everything felt well looked after, and it was a great base for getting out and exploring. I stayed in one of the pods, which was comfortable and had everything I needed. The showers were brilliant — clean, roasting hot, and powerful, which felt like absolute luxury after a days walking. I had my two dogs with me and found it very accommodating, with plenty of space and nearby walks. Black Rock Gorge being so close was a real highlight — such a stunning spot and so convenient to have right on the doorstep. I’d just recommend keeping dogs on lead there, as the drop is quite sudden in places. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay and would definitely come back. A great choice if you’re looking for a quiet, well-located place in the Highlands.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a hardstanding electric pitch, really well maintained venue with some of the best facilities we've had. The gent we dealt with checking in was a great fella, really friendly and helpful. It's a grand shame I can't remember his name, but went above and beyond. It was a nice and peaceful place, and the hike up to the gorge straight from the campsite was a nice addition. We'll most certainly be back at some point!
