Aman

My first visit to Trebah Gardens. It’s a very pretty place and the gardens are well maintained. You can go at your own pace when walking through the gardens, but I’d say you only need a couple of hours here. The gardens lead you to a private beach at the end, where you can sit and have an ice cream. It is a fine shingle and stone beach. A sandy beach would’ve made this into a perfect day out. If you are using public transport, get a bus to Falmouth The Moor. The bus drops you off at Falmouth The Moor (city centre) and right opposite this stop is the bus stop you need for Trebah Gardens (bus number 63 or 35 – it’s the smaller red buses, £5.60 return). The bus drops you off right outside Trebah Gardens. The only problem we had was waiting for the bus to take us back. It felt like we were waiting for nearly an hour! The admission fee for Trebah Gardens is £15.30. I think this is a fair price, but if it was more than this, I don’t think it would be worth it.

We visited today - what a treat! The gardens are spectacular and the map provided helped us navigate our way around. It was raining intermittently but didn’t stop us admiring the planting. make sure you wear sturdy shoes, walking shoes or boots. There are several benches dotted around the gardens - it’s a bit steep in places but you can choose the disabled route which is easier. Loved reading about the history of Trebah gardens. Make sure you get to the beach for a delicious ice-cream. The only toilets are in the visitor centre - they are spotlessly clean.

Trebah is a stunning subtropical valley garden with beautiful planting, peaceful paths and a real sense of escape. The walk down through giant gunnera, palms and colourful borders is gorgeous in any season, and the private beach at the bottom is a brilliant surprise. There are plenty of great photo spots, quiet areas to sit and well‑kept trails that make the whole place easy to explore. A fantastic visit for garden lovers, families and anyone who enjoys immersive, varied landscapes with lots to discover.
