Pittenweem's working harbour, restaurants and shops are minutes on foot from Hedderwick House, a three-bedroom cottage in this historic East Neuk village. The property itself was once the local bakehouse, now thoroughly updated with two bathrooms and space for six. Ground floor holds a living room, separate dining room and kitchen with the basics for self-catering—gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine all provided. A utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs, a second living room, three bedrooms (one with two singles, two with king beds) and a family bathroom with shower over the bath complete the layout. Wood-burning stoves warm the living rooms, and central heating runs throughout; bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included.
The coastal setting means the Fife Coastal Route passes nearby, threading walks between beaches and the cliffs. St Andrews and its golf courses lie within easy reach. Pittenweem itself draws visitors to the August Arts Festival, its St Fillan's Cave (once a smugglers' hideout), and the old stone lanes. An enclosed courtyard adjoins the cottage, there's parking for one car and a bike store. A stair lift serves the first floor if needed. No smoking inside.
