South House

Families, couples and groups of friends gravitate to South House for a mix of space, comfort and countryside setting. The 1887 building began as the village church and now offers three bedrooms across two floors, sleeping six. Ground level has two bedrooms (one with ensuite), a separate shower room, and a kitchen built around an oil Aga where everyone can gather around the table. Upstairs, the living room features a woodburner and high ceilings, with a further double bedroom nearby. Lathones village itself is quiet, though The Inn At Lathones serves meals just a short walk away.

The essentials are covered—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi included—and there's private parking for three cars on site. An enclosed garden with seating looks over open countryside. One pet can stay free. The property works equally well for people exploring East Fife on foot or bike, those visiting St Andrews just ten minutes' drive away, or simply anyone wanting a country base with enough rooms that nobody has to share. No smoking inside.
