Cefn Y Nant Farm is a converted barn in the Holywell area of Flintshire, set among rolling hills and open countryside. The building retains original character—wooden floors and exposed beams—while offering the essentials for a comfortable stay. Everything is on one floor: a bedroom with a kingsize bed, a shower room, and a living space that combines dining and seating, with a sofa bed for a fourth guest if needed. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are included.
A private terrace with garden furniture sits to the rear, and there is parking for two cars on site. The location works well for people who walk or cycle—national trails are accessible directly from the property, and Halkyn Mountain is nearby for those interested in wildlife. The Dee Estuary, a few miles on, attracts birdwatchers. For practicalities, Flint town is 2.5 miles away and has a train station with connections to Chester; a pub is 1.5 miles distant. No smoking is permitted in the property.

Stayed in The Dairy. Really enjoyed our holiday. The house was very clean and well equipped. The hosts were very friendly, approachable and helpful. Lovely village feel about the place. Literally minutes from A55 but still felt like remote countryside.
