Marine Parade is a four-storey Regency house right on the seafront at Hythe, where the beach is within easy reach and views stretch across the water towards Dungeness and Romney Marsh. The house suits families or groups of up to 10, with four bedrooms spread across three floors: two kingsize rooms on the top floor, a double on the first floor with a pull-out single, and two singles on the lower ground floor. There are three bathrooms serving the property. Original features and antique furniture give the place genuine character rather than staged charm.
The kitchen is equipped for real cooking, with an electric range, dishwasher and usual appliances. French doors from the dining room open onto a terrace; there's also an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and a barbecue. A games room on the lower ground floor has table tennis, books and toys. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There's an allocated parking space on site. No smoking throughout.
Hythe itself is an old Cinque Port with medieval architecture; the 11th-century Church of St Leonards is visible across the cricket ground. The house works well for a seaside break where you want the freedom of self-catering but in a building with genuine history rather than modern convenience.
