What visitors say
Great campsite! So much nature and animals! Lots of tent spaces under the trees, quiet! Had a lovely chat with the reception team as well! The only downside is that it doesn’t have showers… (I was aware of it so it wasn’t a problem) Thanks a lot and I will see you soon!

It has been almost 20 years since our last break away at Ocknell campsite. There have been improvements, the reception etc, the park was still very tidy, the toilet block was very clean. The park has kept its appeal of location. Horses and donkeys walk around freely. We recieved a very warm welcome. Our only minor gripe, was the parks season caravans. When we stayed the weather was lovely so the park was full. Trying to find a space was difficult and all the nice spaces were taken up with empty caravans. As this park has no electrical hook ups, it would be nice to have the ability to pay to charge batteries, especially on overcast days if relying on solar power. We would most definitely return and we would recommend this park to others for them to experience the full beauty of the new forest. Thank you for a great stay!

Great little campsite. We stayed for a night on the way to France and had a great time. Facilities are clean and simple, no electricity so it's very much back to nature👍 No pitches as such, just find a space 6m away from other campers. Staff were really helpful and there are lots of donkeys walking around! Will stay again for a stop over.

I used Ocknell campsite as I was in the area on a bicycle bikepacking trip and it was as lovely as I remembered it from the last time I was there in the 1990s! The toilet facilities are scrupulously clean and well kept and there is a drinking water tap to refill bottles onsite which is really handy. The staff were very helpful and, as a cyclist, the best bit was my pitch was half price for bike and tent!
