Lytham's tree-lined streets slope gently towards the coast, where the promenade stretches past the famous green and its windmill. Sandend sits on one of these quieter roads, close enough to reach the seafront, restaurants and shops on foot but far enough back to feel properly residential. The whole property is yours alone, with parking on the road outside.
Downstairs, a living room with a wood burner opens into a kitchen-diner where you can cook properly—gas cooker, range, microwave, dishwasher all there. A utility room holds a washing machine, fridge-freezer and space for two bikes or four sets of golf clubs. Behind the house, an enclosed patio garden with furniture gives you somewhere to sit. Upstairs are two bedrooms (one with a king bed, one with a double) and a bathroom with both shower and a freestanding bath. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are included; wood for the burner is provided from November to March.
The location works well for couples, families or friends who want to leave the car behind. St Annes' sandy beach is a short drive or longer walk along the coast, and the town has decent pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Golf courses are nearby. No smoking inside.
