About Sunflower Park

Tucked away on five acres of Lincolnshire countryside near Gainsborough, this family-run site surrounds you with rescue animals—alpacas, Kunekune pigs, ex-battery hens, geese and ducks all potter about, giving the place a warm, farmyard charm. Beyond the paddocks lies a private woodland walk and a well-stocked fishing lake (day passes available), while the boundaries run straight into Laughton Forest's Tuetoes Wood, where deer, foxes and woodpeckers thrive among the trees.

Pitches range from non-electric grass to hardstanding options, all sharing that relaxed, remote atmosphere guests love. There's a playground for children, an on-site bar and shop, plus clean facilities including showers, launderette and a drying room. Firepits arrive ready to light, perfect for evenings under the stars.

Fair warning: the sandy forest setting means you'll encounter the local wildlife—spiders, ants, grass snakes and beetles are part of the package. If that doesn't faze you, Sunflower Park delivers peace, animals and proper countryside escape.

We have just today got home from a weekend at Sunflower park. What an absolutely amazing time we have had!! The owners and staff are all so lovely and friendly! The children on site are so kind and made freinds with my children instantly. There is a little bar/shop/cafe/fishing supply shop on site that offer so much for such a small place. This is primarily an animal rescue and the camping its a little side line to help the upkeep of the animals. Staff are constantly working to care for the animals bit always have time to stop for a chat. The walks are absolutely beautiful and there are hours of exploring to be done. We will definitely be regulars at this absolute gem of a place!

We’ve just come back from a stay at Sunflower Farm Park and honestly had such a lovely time. What really stood out to us is that it’s a not-for-profit campsite, with all the fees going towards feeding and caring for the rescue animals on site – such a great cause and it really shows in the atmosphere around the park. [1]1 The animals are a huge highlight. Many of them roam freely, which makes the whole experience feel really special, especially for kids. It adds such a relaxed, friendly vibe and it’s clear they’re well loved and cared for. [2]2 The fishing pond was another favourite of ours – really peaceful and a lovely way to spend some downtime. There’s also a bar and a small shop on site, which is a great touch and means you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. The play park is brilliant too, plenty there to keep the kids entertained. [3]3 The pitches are a really good size, giving you plenty of room without feeling cramped, and the whole site has a nice, laid-back feel. The owners are genuinely lovely people – very welcoming and always happy to have a chat, which makes a big difference. [4]4 The only small downside for us was the shower facilities. They’re okay and perfectly usable, but could do with a bit of a revamp. That said, it’s clear the owners are aware, and given everything they’re doing with the animals, it’s understandable that it’s a big investment. Once that’s updated, this place would easily be a solid 5-star stay. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Sunflower Farm Park to anyone looking for a relaxed, family-friendly campsite with something a bit different.

We stayed over may bank holiday weekend, the owners Josie and Ian are incredibly welcoming from the start. Nice level pitches with very few stones. The kids loved spending time in the park and seeing the rescues animals around the site. Fully stocked bar on site with live music performances occasionally. In the morning we had a great breakfast butty cooked by Ian. 10/10 stay will be coming back in the future Thank you both

Quirky campsite in a rural area, with a couple of lovely nearby pubs and nice woodland walks. Ducks, geese, emu, alpaca, sheep, goats, horses, pigs. Animals galore! Some of the pitches back on to woodland. I could hear tawny owls. 2 toilets and 2 toilets with showers. If you like somewhere spotless, don't choose here, but if you like something unusual with friendly owners, friendly cats, a little bar on site with wood burner, TV and dartboard, and lots of animals, then this is the place to go.
