This would get 5 stars for its lovely quiet location. A beautiful pond , peaceful site ( adults only) and friendly owner. Sadly losing a star as its washroom facilities are covered in dust, cobwebs, fly poo and generally need a good clean ( award rosettes on the wall 2009 - 2013, just gathering dirt...) Such a pity.

My second stay here , its a quiet small site with a small fishing lake , the owners are friendly and helpful, even helped put up awning . Second stay went with a work mate and tried sea fishing catching zero fish but plenty of crab from the harbour. A vist to the pub is a must , the food was excellent but the pub part is very small , book a table in advance to be sure. Definitely heading back up this year when the weather gets warmer.

Felts Forever

after much research this site was booked last September as the website was full of fishing. An idea 4 days of fly fishing. 2 weeks prior the website had totally changed with not much fishing mentioned.after contacting the owner who said he had removed blanket weed and expecting a stock of very soon but dont worry there’s still fish in there, we were reassured. on arrival the owner wanted paying up front and it was apparent that the blanket weed was so thick and deep even the herons could only catch eels and no sign of fish. we found out the pond ( it looked huge on the website) hadn’t been stocked for over two years. after two days of our 4 day break we decided we had been sold false information and left very disappointed.

A beautiful campsite, all hard standing. Fishing lake at one end. Ducks wandering around. A bothy on site open 3 nights a week for campers to get together and have a few. The owners originally from the North East, what's not to like. Definitely use again.
