Found this lovely place and was not disappointed. Wayne and lynda are really nice welcoming people. And have a fantastic information centre there the owners are relaxed about when you pack up to leave which is a god send if your waiting for a hour spell of no rain. The site itself is really beautiful toilets are clean. Always hot water for a shower and we was fortunate to meet the owner nice parents in laws on the site that we’re friendly and nice and chatty. Me and my partner louise will definitely be returning soon was lovely. Ps there is a train that passes but that’s not a annoyance at all and we’re in our mid 40s. Lovely places near by to eat the white heart sells lovely 16oz steak with lovely views. Great place Great owners We have found our favourite camp place.

Just back from a lovely weekend at The Anchorage, lovely, spotlessly clean small site with lovely walks around especially along the Severn to Newnham and dog friendly to. Run by the lovely on site owners Wayne and Linda who couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended and will be back next year. Thanks Paul and Sue.

Nice location, clean, tidy, well organised and signed. Best information point I've seen. All grass site on slight incline....did get a little wheel slip manoeuvring caravan. Friendly and helpful owners. Would recommend and would use again.....now I've got more appropriate tyres.

Fantastic weekend glamping in the ‘FoDPod’ at The Anchorage campsite near Newnham on Severn. The Pod is a converted and renovated Forest of Dean goods carriage which is finished to a really high standard, comfortable, well appointed and airy and includes a great en-suite bathroom/shower. The site itself is friendly, peaceful and perfectly located. We did several lovely walks straight from the campsite and sitting outside the Pod by the firepit afterwards having a glass of wine was the perfect way to end the day.
