About Baldwin's Brook
Tucked away near Gloucester, Baldwin's Brook is a small, well-kept site that punches above its weight. The three fully serviced hardstanding pitches come with electric hook-up, and there are two ensuite glamping pods – Bramley and Newton – both dog-friendly, making this a particularly good bet for those travelling with pets. It's open year-round, though facilities are deliberately pared back: there are no showers or toilets on site, and no WiFi, so the pods' ensuite facilities become especially valuable.
What it lacks in bells and whistles, it makes up for in peace and a solid 4.9 Google rating. If you're after a straightforward, no-fuss base for exploring Gloucestershire – and you don't mind a simpler setup – Baldwin's Brook delivers quietly and well.

What visitors say
We recently spent two nights at Baldwins Glamping & Camping and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. It’s not far from home for us, but it felt like a proper escape where we could completely relax and unwind. The pitches are level, fully serviced, and there is a large open grassed area in front — perfect for children to play safely or for exercising the dogs. The site sits right beside the River Severn, making it a fantastic spot to watch the famous Severn Bore. The views across the surrounding countryside towards the Forest of Dean are beautiful, and the sunsets were absolutely stunning. This is clearly a lovely family-run site that is maintained to an exceptionally high standard, including the glamping pods. Each pitch and pod has its own fire pit, with wood available on site, which adds such a lovely atmosphere in the evenings. There’s also a public footpath directly opposite the site that takes you across the fields to the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal — ideal for a peaceful walk. Two pubs serving food are within equal distance of the site, which is very convenient. The location is excellent too — around 15 minutes from Gloucester, a similar distance to the M5, and only about 35 minutes from Bristol. Access is via rural roads, so larger outfits need to take a little care. Our van is 8 feet wide and our full outfit is around 46 feet long, so we approached cautiously entering and leaving the site, but it was absolutely manageable and well worth it. Overall, Baldwins is a fantastic site in a beautiful setting, offering peace, space, and a warm welcome. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Wonderful, peaceful stay. The pod had all the facilities you could need and was very comfortable. The views over the river are so special. We even saw a hare. Lots of birds on the river so bring binoculars. It was a perfect stay for the two of us and our dog.

Nice quiet touring site make sure you are self contained as no toilets there. Touring plots are big and fully serviced. There is no access to river or footpaths from site it requires a walk or car you can walk to pubs but road is narrow and busy sometimes. Make sure you have food and drink as the shops are a drive away Lots of things to see but you will need car to get to some. We had a peaceful 2 nights there lovely sunset and owners very friendly. If you are looking for peace and quiet try it out.

Great little site with 3 touring pitches and 2 pods. Ideal location for a fairly local short break. Would want full facilities though (shower block) for longer stay. Fully serviced pitches make it ideal for using all our in van facilities. Great location for visiting Gloucestershire and Cotswolds. Also very near Attwoolls camping/caravaning outlet that has everything you could ever need for touring/camping. Will definitely use again.
