The Hideaway Cottage
Gloucester

Gloucester's oldest buildings line streets that slope down towards the Norman cathedral, and The Hideaway Cottage sits among them with views across the city's rooflines to that distinctive tower. The locality mixes working centre with visitor draw: shops and pubs within walking distance, restaurants a mile away, and the city centre's markets and independent traders a short stroll. From here you can reach the Cotswolds or the Royal Forest of Dean without much driving.
The cottage itself is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom property with space for four. Ground floor has a living room with a wood burner and television, a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, microwave and the usual appliances. Upstairs are two double bedrooms (each 4ft 6in beds) and a bathroom with a roll-top bath and shower. The essentials—heating, electricity, linen, towels and wifi—are included. One dog stays free, and there's an enclosed garden with seating; the garden contains a pond. The property is non-smoking, and note that the stairs are steep and narrow. Parking is on site.
