Took the family for Sunday lunch on Father’s Day and had a lovely meal. Always friendly staff from the young waiter to the bar staff. The food is exceptional, plenty of choice of meats and veg on offer. I can particularly recommend the belly pork which melts in your mouth with the lovely crispy crackling on top. Deserts that day had one of my favourites, sticky toffee pudding! It was sublime, the best I’ve ever had!! The misses had cheesecake which was perfect, the puddings are made in house so I was told. Priced fairly and only 8 minutes from Goole in a lovely setting. we will definitely be going again.

Hi stays 2 nights over bank holiday. We were in campervan therefore on campsite. Really enjoyed our stay. Staff welcoming, facilities whilst basic clean and well kept. Didn’t need anything more. Had Sunday lunch at pub, excellent. Thank you for excellent stay will be back.

We booked online and stayed in the pub campsite, we were made very welcome in the pub by Summer, who was very friendly, we ate there two evenings and the food was absolutely superb on both occasions, the homemade chips and the steak was fantastic. We will definitely be going back.

We booked a night here to stop over on a long journey- the room was clean, cozy and the bed was insanely comfortable! The owner was lovely and area very quiet. We decided to have dinner at the pub- and it is the BEST pub food we have ever had… perfectly cooked steaks, amazing starters and chips- we honestly couldn’t believe it! We will definitely be back 👏🏼
