Holiday park on the Cardigan Bay coast near Llwyngwril, with direct beach access and a swimming pool.

About Sunbeach Holiday Park

Sunbeach Holiday Park sits on the A493 between Llwyngwril and Tywyn, right on the Cardigan Bay shoreline. The setting is classic Welsh coast: long shingle beach, open water, and quiet countryside backing onto the site. This is proper seaside terrain, not a manicured resort.

The park offers caravans and pods with good standards of finish. Facilities are comprehensive: indoor swimming pool, clubhouse, bar and cafe, laundry, shop, showers, and wireless internet throughout. There's a children's play area, boat mooring for those with vessels, and disabled access. The beach is on the doorstep—a genuine selling point if you want to swim or walk the shoreline without driving elsewhere.

Staff are attentive and the atmosphere leans towards relaxed family holidays rather than party atmosphere. Pet owners are welcome. If you want a seaside base with straightforward comfort and direct sand access, rather than a destination activity park, this works well. The value proposition is strong for what you get.

Just returned from a short weekend break at Sunbeach, our first time visiting. What a gem of a place!! Stunning location amongst the North Wales countryside and coastline. We stayed in one of the Nautical Pods, which was amazing! The private hot tub was checked twice daily and was an incredible addition to new and modern accomodation. The pod was more than big enough for our family of 5 ( 2 adults, 3 children) using the pull out sofa bed. Equipped with everything you need for a self catering break and very cleverly thought out with lots of storage! The outside deck was a great size with a covered deck and then additional wrap around decking to the hot tub. We managed to book swimming every day and the pool was clean, and really nice, also quiet! Every member of staff was welcoming, friendly and the views from the outside terrace by the bar were just out of this world. A short 5 mins walk from the pod and we had direct access to a lovely pebble beach. Nearest town is about 10 mins away and we also drove about 40 mins to Barmouth along amazing coastal roads. We will most definitely be returning, what an amazing place and relaxing break for all of us thank you!

We had great weather and the site was quiet (fathers day weekend). Food in the club is average but the people are lovely. Could do with electric car chargers.

What a lovely place right on the beach, I found staff in the shop on site rude who didn’t want to help, we stayed in the pod on site with hot tub which was absolutely beautiful but very very dirty dog hairs from past people was absolutely everywhere for the whole time they just kept coming back my son was finding them in his mouth which is absolutely disgusting the blinds and inside drawers and mirrors was filthy! Even bedside cabinets if this pod was clean it would have been a 5 star review but a huge let down! The views from pods are amazing hot tub was amazing need gates on the decking though definitely! Very far out from shops etc as the site shop didn’t have bread the whole time or drinks/water in fridge apart from milkshake they also didn’t supply washing up liquid on site caravans which my family members stayed in had to go to reception to empty the bins in bathroom as there was past peoples personal items in there 🤢 also quite dirty again. The beach etc is as amazing.

My review is for the restaurant. 22nd July 2026. 1800 hrs. Food is an abomination. If you like your food deep fried and microwaved this is the place for you. Staff are great. Environment great. Drinks great. Food abysmal.
