The southern slopes of Eryri National Park are gentler than their famous northern reaches, and Geufron Farm sits comfortably within that landscape. Tywyn and its surrounding countryside occupy the softer edge of Snowdonia, where wide open views meet farmland and walking starts at your door. The Cowshed was once part of the working farm; now it's a single-storey cottage arranged around an open-plan living space, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping up to five people. Ground-floor living means easy access to the garden and immediate surroundings, and an enclosed front area gives you outdoor sitting space. Parking for two cars is on site.
Inside, the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric oven and induction hob. The first bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite with bath and shower; the second contains a triple bunk and single bed, with its own cubicle shower. A woodburner heats the space in cooler months, and Wi-Fi keeps you connected if needed. Bed linen and towels come with the rental, along with the initial fuel for the fire. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
What distinguishes The Cowshed is its genuine appeal to visitors with dogs. An enclosed garden prevents escapes, and there's a shared dog play field on the farm. Walks begin at the gate across fields and country lanes, and the local pub welcomes muddy boots as standard. Tywyn's long sandy beach is a short drive, and the wider attractions of Snowdonia are within reach without feeling forced. No smoking inside; one dog is welcome.

We rented the farmhouse and the little cottage next door, this enabled us to have exclusive use of the outdoor heated pool. The views are breathtaking. The accommodation is really lovely, the main house keeping naturally cool in the hot spell. Beds super comfy and everything you could need for a lovely visit. Very dog friendly too. We walked to the pub nearby which was a 15 minute stroll through the sheep fields. We enjoyed the steam train and the falls which are a short drive away. My husband was attending a golf event at Aberdovey Golf Club and the property is within a short drive from the club and seaside town. Hope to return next year, was genuinely disappointed to leave. Just got back from a wonderful weekend staying at Geufron Farm. A great location with incredible views to both the mountains and the sea. Accommodation was great, everything has been thought of for guests staying with dogs. Accommodation beautifully kitted out and the local tips were very useful.

Excellent stay at Geufron Farm staying in the Barn. More than well equipped, extremely dog friendly, they have thought of everything and more. We felt at home the moment we arrived. Beautiful property on beautiful land with beautiful views. Great enclosed garden for the dogs and added bonus of the dog field. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family.

This was our second visit and once again it did not disappoint. This time we stayed in the Barn as our family has grown, and it was the perfect choice for us. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly cosy — it instantly felt like a home away from home. The location is unbeatable, just a stone’s throw from the beach, making early morning walks and sunset strolls an absolute joy. A special mention has to go to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Our dog, Larry, was especially delighted with the treats that were left for him — such a lovely and considerate gesture that made us all feel so welcome. We’re already looking forward to coming back again!
