Geufron Farm - The Granary

The Granary at Geufron Farm is a converted agricultural building with an unconventional design: the bedroom sits downstairs in a quieter, more private space, while the living area occupies the upper floor where natural light floods in. This reversal gives the place an intriguing, purposeful character that suits guests who appreciate something a little different. The single bedroom has a double bed and ensuite shower; upstairs there's an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, and the essentials. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.
Geufron Farm occupies the quieter southern reaches of Eryri National Park, near Tywyn in Gwynedd. This feels genuinely remote compared to busier parts of Snowdonia, with open farmland and wide skies dominating the landscape. The coast is close—Tywyn's broad beach and Aberdyfi's estuary are both within reach for a drive or a walk. The property sits on working farm land; an on-site dog play field is available, and the enclosed front garden provides a secure outdoor space. One dog is welcome. There is parking for one car on site. Smoking is not permitted.

What guests say
We rented the farmhouse and the little cottage next door, this enabled us to have exclusive use of the outdoor heated pool. The views are breathtaking. The accommodation is really lovely, the main house keeping naturally cool in the hot spell. Beds super comfy and everything you could need for a lovely visit. Very dog friendly too. We walked to the pub nearby which was a 15 minute stroll through the sheep fields. We enjoyed the steam train and the falls which are a short drive away. My husband was attending a golf event at Aberdovey Golf Club and the property is within a short drive from the club and seaside town. Hope to return next year, was genuinely disappointed to leave. Thank you to our hosts.

Just got back from a wonderful weekend staying at Geufron Farm. A great location with incredible views to both the mountains and the sea. Accommodation was great, everything has been thought of for guests staying with dogs. Accommodation beautifully kitted out and the local tips were very useful.

Excellent stay at Geufron Farm staying in the Barn. More than well equipped, extremely dog friendly, they have thought of everything and more. We felt at home the moment we arrived. Beautiful property on beautiful land with beautiful views. Great enclosed garden for the dogs and added bonus of the dog field. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family.

This was our second visit and once again it did not disappoint. This time we stayed in the Barn as our family has grown, and it was the perfect choice for us. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly cosy — it instantly felt like a home away from home. The location is unbeatable, just a stone’s throw from the beach, making early morning walks and sunset strolls an absolute joy. A special mention has to go to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Our dog, Larry, was especially delighted with the treats that were left for him — such a lovely and considerate gesture that made us all feel so welcome. We’re already looking forward to coming back again!
