Geufron Farm - Y Caban

Tywyn's sandy beach is a short drive away, and the quieter Aberdyfi estuary lies just beyond. From Geufron Farm you can reach the quieter parts of Eryri National Park without fighting crowds, and the farm itself hosts Antur Alpaca if you want something to do without leaving the property. The cabin sits on hillside pasture where the landscape feels gentler than the busier tourist valleys to the north.
Y Caban is a single-storey converted cabin with everything on one level: a living space with woodburner and smart TV, a kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, two bedrooms (one double, one with child singles), and a shower room. The essentials—heating, electricity, linen, towels and wifi—are included. There's an enclosed garden with seating, parking for one car, and a shared dog field on the farm. Dogs are welcome. The cabin is compact and informal, designed around time spent outside rather than indoors; doors open straight onto the garden.
It suits couples or small families who want a simple base for countryside walks and beach visits, without needing a lot of space or frills. If you smoke, this isn't the place. Children are fine, but there's no mention of any special provision for them beyond the smaller beds in bedroom two.

What guests say
We rented the farmhouse and the little cottage next door, this enabled us to have exclusive use of the outdoor heated pool. The views are breathtaking. The accommodation is really lovely, the main house keeping naturally cool in the hot spell. Beds super comfy and everything you could need for a lovely visit. Very dog friendly too. We walked to the pub nearby which was a 15 minute stroll through the sheep fields. We enjoyed the steam train and the falls which are a short drive away. My husband was attending a golf event at Aberdovey Golf Club and the property is within a short drive from the club and seaside town. Hope to return next year, was genuinely disappointed to leave. Thank you to our hosts.

Just got back from a wonderful weekend staying at Geufron Farm. A great location with incredible views to both the mountains and the sea. Accommodation was great, everything has been thought of for guests staying with dogs. Accommodation beautifully kitted out and the local tips were very useful.

Excellent stay at Geufron Farm staying in the Barn. More than well equipped, extremely dog friendly, they have thought of everything and more. We felt at home the moment we arrived. Beautiful property on beautiful land with beautiful views. Great enclosed garden for the dogs and added bonus of the dog field. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family.

This was our second visit and once again it did not disappoint. This time we stayed in the Barn as our family has grown, and it was the perfect choice for us. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly cosy — it instantly felt like a home away from home. The location is unbeatable, just a stone’s throw from the beach, making early morning walks and sunset strolls an absolute joy. A special mention has to go to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Our dog, Larry, was especially delighted with the treats that were left for him — such a lovely and considerate gesture that made us all feel so welcome. We’re already looking forward to coming back again!
