What visitors say
We booked a table last minute for dinner with our two dogs. As soon as we walked in we have been greeted with a smile. Everyone has been so nice, despite the hot weather and the place being so busy! The food was delicious. The pork pie and ham hock were both great. The sausage and mash with the onion gravy was insane! All the desserts on the list sounded nice, and the peanut butter one was a very good end to our meal. If you like lagers, try theirs! A special thanks to the lady who looked after us the most during our meal! This is what hospitality is about!

Beautiful location surrounded by fields, staff are welcoming, hospitable and warm. Our garden room was spacious, tastefully furnished with a good finish, all required amenitities included. Drinks in the bar excellent from draught to cocktails to wines. Food was excellent with a focus on locally sourced seasonal produce. Everything we ate from the sharer pie to steak to all breakfast options we tried over our 2 nights was excellent. Desserts and starters equally delicious. Strongly recommend. We look forward to returning. (We travelled with a 2 month old and the team were incredibly accommodating.)

Celebrated a wedding anniversary with friends, hired out a small room in the pub and stayed in the Shepherd Huts. Excellent food and service during the evening and had an enjoyable late night under the stars sat out by the Huts. The Shepherd Huts are fitted to a high standard with very comfortable beds and great shower room. Very dog friendly, welll worth a visit.
