RV park near Southampton with spacious pitches, heated shower blocks and a dog walking area, though roadside noise can be an issue.
About Sunnyside Caravan Park
Sunnyside Caravan Park offers generous pitches with heated sanitation blocks and showers. The site maintains its facilities to a good standard and provides a dedicated dog walking zone just a few minutes' walk away, which appeals to those travelling with pets. Staff are noted for being helpful and responsive to guests' needs.
The main drawback is road noise—the site's position on Grange Road means traffic can be audible from the pitches, particularly at busier times. Beyond that, the location works well for access to Southampton and Portsmouth, and the pitches themselves are the real strength here: spacious enough to feel comfortable rather than cramped, which matters when you're settling in for a stay.

What visitors say
Quiet well maintained site plenty of open space, pitches of nice and flat and not too close to your neighbour, toilet and shower block very clean and tidy, nice of nice open space for children to play. Pubs in walking distance but will need a torch when walking back, dark country roads. We had food delivered from Southampton grill, great pizzas and wraps at a reasonable price, delivered in 30 minutes of ordering.

Fantastic place with perfectly flat grass pitches. Excellent spacious pitches and clean facilities. We’ve just stayed this weekend, Fri 29th May 2026, as we were watching the Take That concert at Southampton Football Stadium, which is only around 15 minutes away, so it was ideal. There is a bus stop right outside the camp every half hour, costing just £1.00 each way. We stayed two nights and were made to feel very welcome — the new wardens were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It makes a real difference when your hosts are pleasant and help you settle in. So thank you, guys. x We’ll definitely be back again.

This is a camping ground. We (the royal we) booked a spot for a tent which had a power hookup. Lucky for us, ours was next to a standpipe (shared) The plot was spacious and clean. This is day one. We have been told where to walk for various activities. We will walk to the coast tomorrow (20-30 min walk) There are 4 or so pubs within walking distance. The reception was welcoming. One of the staff members walked us to our spot. I may add to this review later when I have tested the different offerings. Update. After 3 nights, I can say I am still happy with the place. The staff are ever-present and helpful/nice people. The shower block did not work too well for me, the water pressure was not great. I managed to wash. The toilets were clean and usable with plenty of toilet paper and soap was available 95% of the time. The area itself is lovely with several nearby villages, like Hamble - which is beautiful. One word of warning - there is a Tesco store around 1 mile from the camp, we used it twice, the car park became jammed on both visits, taking about 20 minutes to leave when we were ready - this appears to be normal.
