Maelgwyn House

Ffordd Isaf, Harlech, with bay views · B&B

A recently renovated B&B on Ffordd Isaf with sweeping views over Tremadog Bay, run by hosts offering fly fishing and birdwatching trips.

About Maelgwyn House

Maelgwyn House is a bed and breakfast on Ffordd Isaf in Harlech, its front rooms giving some of the widest views in the town across Tremadog Bay, the Llŷn Peninsula, the Dwyryd estuary and Morfa Harlech nature reserve, with the castle visible from several windows. Rooms are a choice of king-size and twin, all en-suite, and have been recently renovated with flat-screen televisions, DVD players and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Hosts Bridget and Derek Stenberg have a particular interest in the surrounding landscape, and offer guided fly fishing trips with equipment and expert tuition provided, along with birdwatching and, in season, mushroom-hunting walks into the hills and dunes around the town.

The house's elevated position makes it a favourite for photographers and anyone wanting to watch the sun set over the bay from their room, while remaining an easy walk from the castle and high street below.
