Unforgettable Rural Escape with Adorable Animals! Our stay at Deaks Acres was absolutely wonderful, and easily one of the best camping experiences we've ever had! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home in the beautiful rural setting, thanks to the lovely Karen and Dale who run the place. The absolute highlight for us was the incredible opportunity to interact with the animals, including goats, lambs, pigs, horses, geese, ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, cats and the lovely dog Kit, whom my daughter absolutely adored. Being able to feed and befriend them was such a unique and heartwarming experience. Beyond the animal encounters, the campsite itself is fantastic. We appreciated having fire pits and picnic tables at each pitch, making evenings cozy and convenient. The showers and toilets were also modern and clean, there was a large play area for kids, including a brilliant swing. This campsite truly offers a homely and welcoming atmosphere. We highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to visit again!

I was looking for somewhere that was quiet and a bit out of the way and this was the perfect place. With only 10 pitches, I knew it wasn't going to be overwhelming with other campers. It's easy to find, with little signs guiding you once you're off the main roads. Each pitch is easy to identify as they all have a picnic bench and firepit/grill. The ground was firm and despite some rain, dry enough to drive over without worrying about getting stuck. There's an area for washing your pots and pans and a purpose built shower/toilet block that was immaculate. As the sun set, the night sky opened up and without the bright lights, the view was great. It is a dark site so a torch or two are a must. The owners are lovely, taking the time to chat to each group and they clearly care that everyone enjoys their stay. Wood is available for the fire pits and farm fresh eggs too, from their own chickens. I'd definitely recommend this place, whether you're a solo camper like I was, a group or family.

Had the most lovely last minute one night stay on Friday and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Quiet, tranquil and so nice having access to the farm animals, they were so friendly as well as the owners! Toilets and shower were lovely and clean and kitchen access was super handy. Will definitely be back 😊

I rarely leave negative reviews, but Deaks Acres have left me no choice. The location itself has undeniable charm—nestled in peaceful countryside with a layout that could easily make for a relaxing getaway. The facilities, while basic, are functional enough to support a pleasant camping experience. Unfortunately, all of that promise is completely overshadowed by the management, which is not just unprofessional but actively detracts from the stay. From the outset, it was clear that organization is not a priority here.
