What visitors say

Carina Humberstone

A lovely peaceful campsite right on the banks of the River Wye. There is plenty of space to camp, in different sections of the site. We chose a lovely spot in the orchard where we listened to birdsong and enjoyed the dark skies at night. We made the most of the food available, having dinner & breakfast there. Staff are friendly.

Perfect chilled out site, huge choice of where to pitch, decent clean toilets & showers (£1 per 5mins) Fire pits allowed can be hired for £50 refundable deposit wood sold on site I think £5 a bag. Small shop on site. Great access to the Wye for kayak/canoeing.

Great day canoeing down from Whitney Bridge followed by a posh yurt in the well organised campsite. Good beer and cafe/shop, shower block was clean enough, easy to reach. Logs for sale, fire pits, beer, stove, comfy bed, it might tempt us out canoe camping again.

Lovely setting by the river Wye, loads of pitching space, all the facilities a backpacker could need and more, friendly team, decent price (+£1 for showers). What more could you ask for? oh yeah, a beer garden with pizzas! That too ✅
