About Ladymead Farm
Tucked into the Somerset Levels near Highbridge, Ladymead Farm is a tiny adults-only retreat for those who love two things above all: peace and horses. With just a handful of level grass pitches, modern equestrian facilities and direct access to miles of bridleways, it's a dream for riders who want to bring their own mounts – hack up Crook Peak for sweeping Somerset views, or canter along the sands at Berrow and Brean beaches, both under 20 minutes away.
Non-riders needn't feel left out. The quiet lanes and nearby coastal paths offer excellent walking and cycling, while Burnham-on-Sea is a short drive for a proper seaside outing. Rich's Cider Farm does tours and tastings, and the local village of Mark has a couple of pubs for refuelling. Facilities are simple – a toilet block, washing-up area and picnic tables – but the location, just off Junction 22 of the M5, makes it wonderfully accessible for a rural escape.
