Ben View works well for couples or families of up to four looking for a proper break by the sea. The cottage sits in a row of whitewashed houses on Gairloch's shoreline, with a grassed slope down to rocky beach. You get the whole place to yourself: two bedrooms (one with a double and bunks, one with two singles), a shower room upstairs and an ensuite, plus two living spaces across the floors. Heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi come as standard, and logs for the multi-fuel stove are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine. Both living rooms have views and seating; the upper one is particularly comfortable for settling in during cooler months. From the front of the house—which catches the sun and looks out to Gairloch Bay and the Torridon hills—you can watch for otters, seals, porpoises and various seabirds. The village centre is a short walk away, with a pub, restaurant, café, butchers and shop. This location sits on the NC500 route, so it's a base for exploring further along the coast. The property doesn't permit smoking, and you'll need to arrange any cot or highchair in advance.
