The Highlands offer castles, mountain scenery, lochs and beaches in abundance, along with hiking, biking, fishing and golf. Muir of Ord sits at the heart of it, a few miles from Inverness, Loch Ness and Culloden. Glebe Cottage is a detached house on the edge of farmland, recently renovated and furnished to a comfortable standard, where you have the run of the place to yourselves.
Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a kingsize bed, the other with two singles. There is one bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Downstairs, a living room has a wood burner (logs included), a 32-inch Smart TV and DVD player, while the dining room opens into a kitchen fitted with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer. Outside, a large garden comes with seating and furniture; you have parking for two cars and a bike store. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all covered. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
The cottage works as a base for exploring the Moray coast, the Whisky Trail, the Cairngorms or the west coast and Isle of Skye, all within driving range. For a quieter break, you can simply settle in front of the fire. The property is non-smoking.

Stayed at this lovely cottage in July '25. The owners are incredibly friendly, helpful and obviously hardworking people. The house itself is well-equipped and cozy. Its location is perfect - remote enough to get a glimpse of rural Scotland and enjoy privacy but also close enough to some interesting places to visit (not saying the immediate area of the cottage is uninteresting! quite great for jogging and trekking actually). I'd love to come back there one day.

We arrived on a drenched Sunday afternoon at the delightful Glebe Cottage and the welcome pack, thank you. The large log burner was impressive, keeping us warm and cozy. Everything we needed was there. Our week was over too soon. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the lovely Lillian and Barry for your kind hospitality. Ps. Check out the two sleeping giants from the 2nd bedroom window.
