Great location if you are looking to stay close to skye and/or have a place to stay during our trip to the highlands. Very organized and responsive to questions sent via email as we were traveling from overseas with no telephone number. We didn't even need to talk to someone as we had early/late departures but we moved flawlessly even compared to campsites with in person assistance. The location was quiet and family friendly. The toilets were clean and they had warm showers. Due to the location we got to meet the Scottish midges but I understand thet is seasonal and not in the campsite's control.

We stayed at camping Site for two nights during our trip through Scotland, mainly as a base to explore the Isle of Skye, which made the location absolutely perfect. Situated between the famous Eilean Donan Castle and Skye, the setting is truly stunning and very convenient for discovering the surrounding area. The campsite itself is well maintained, with spacious and nicely positioned pitches. The overall grounds are tidy and clearly looked after. However, our arrival felt rather impersonal. The reception was very brief, with little explanation or effort to make us feel welcome. It felt more functional than hospitable, which was a bit disappointing. We always appreciate a warm and personal welcome when arriving at a campsite, and that was missing here. The sanitary facilities were acceptable, but definitely outdated. They do the job, but considering the price you pay, we expected something more modern and better maintained. The toilets, showers, and urinals all feel old and could really benefit from renovation. Small practical details, such as the awkward placement of toilet paper holders, also made it feel less comfortable than it could be. There is also a food truck on-site, which looked interesting, but we found the prices quite high for takeaway meals, so we decided not to try it. Overall, the location and campsite grounds are strong points, and it is a practical base for visiting Skye. However, in our opinion, the customer experience and sanitary facilities could be improved significantly to better match the price and potential of this campsite.

GREAT HIGHAM LTD

Amazing location - Beautiful Site - As others have mentioned dated toilet/shower facilities but very clean! Friendly check in. We stayed as a party of two separate motorhomes and we were placed together which was great! We ate at the restaurant next door and had great food (service wasn't the best) but the food was delicious and the views of sunset on the loch were amazing! Great add on to the Isle Of Skye if you are adding it to your NC500 journey!

We arrived and the wardens were speaking to someone else, as soon as it was our turn they went inside their cabin, one of us had to get out and speak to them. Once he directed us to our pitch. We were in two vehicles. We did notify them prior to arrival. The pitches are small, we had a 6 man tent and was squeezed onto the pitch, next to us was a larger pitch with a two - four man tent on. When we arrived we were not told that we couldn't park our other car on the grass. Now looking at the t&Cs it does state this, but we booked this a long time ago and other campsites have had no issues and also didnt see any signage saying this We parked one of the cars on the grass and the male warden come walking over and rudely told us that we couldn't park on the grass and directed us to parking which isnt near to our pitch, as it was raining quite heavily at the time we said we would move the car, get our stuff out and park up, he then told us we'd have to move it now before we did anything and then walked off. I dont think he handled this very well and looking over the reviews, the grass seems to strike a nerve. In the male toilets there are two showers for the whole site and a few toilets, the wifi doesnt reach our pitch and there is next to no signal for 4g/5g coverage. No ball games are allowed, whilst I understand its to protect people's campervans, Grass and ect, its a campsite. I wasnt going to put on my studded boots and ruin the grass. They have said they do not accept responsibility for damages in their t&Cs. As long as you stay off the grass and dont want any fun stay here. The website says its £15 a night with £5 extra for another vehicle yet we paid £30 the math isnt mathing
