Glenbrittle Campsite

Love this site, lets get the issues out the way first, if you what a phone signal on site you need a sat phone, no internet, It is run by Dunvegan castle there is no castle here, all of these is why i love it get away from the screen, THE Good.. the Staff 10/10 welcoming helpful, the food is really good (The pizza Between 12 - 4) toilets clean the showers are the best on a camp site hot, tip use them early, good size washing area with dryers and washers, good price to stay pp, the site seems to drain well, electric and non electric, I camp no problem if bringing a camper the road in can be a bit narrow and is the same road for the Fairy Pools. this year was very windy but I weathered it out, The shop does some bits you may have forgotten, but its not big. prices for food and drinks (no Alcohol) is within Syke prices, well worth a visit if only once (good base for the Cullins.)

What a fantastic place to visit, we traveled to fairy falls but the weather was awful so decided to just drive on, the views were amazing. We drove until we couldn't and found this amazing site, although we didn't stay we popped in for a cuppa and some cake and a pastry. All was very nice, the shop was well stocked and they even sold fresh pizza. Dogs were welcome and the staff were very friendly. Glad we decided not to stop at the falls.

Firstly, anyone worried about previous reviews and the road into Glen Brittle the road does get repaired and there is a lot of passing places. Location, Location, Location!! it is perfect for multi day hikes, we stayed for 6 nights and had plenty to do without the need to drive off site at all. Overall the site is very clean and well laid out with spacious EHU pitches, staff are all very friendly, helpful and accommodating, very spacious showers with plenty of hooks for clothes, definitely the best and most spacious showers EE is the main provider for the whole of the Isle, so I personally had no issue with coverage for 4G although it was patchy, I managed to communicate with a mountain guide I had booked, admittedly, you do need to walk off the campsite and at some point you will get a signal.

We stayed there for one night in our camper van in May. The staff are exceptional! A huge thank you to Kevin—he really saved the day when we needed to change our gas tank! It’s a beautiful, quiet spot with a newly paved road and clean restrooms, even though it was quite crowded.
