About Silver Rake Campsite
Tucked into the rolling Clwydian countryside, Silver Rake offers genuinely secluded pitching with panoramic mountain views and space to breathe. The large rally field caters for tents, tourers and motorhomes, all with car-alongside convenience, while a proper campfire pit adds atmosphere on clear evenings. Facilities are straightforward – showers, toilets, washing-up area – and the site's peaceful remoteness is part of the appeal, though walkers relish the network of footpaths threading straight from the gate into the hills.
Holywell and Mold are both close for provisions (catch the Wednesday or Saturday market in Mold), and Chester lies only fifteen miles east. Seasonal pitches and tourer storage suit longer stays, and there's even a horse paddock for equestrian visitors. Friendly village pubs serving food are nearby when the camping stove loses its charm.

What visitors say
There are static caravan parks nearer to the town of Prestatyn and there are also ones with more facilities like shops and clubs. BUT, if you are looking for a site that’s beautifully maintained, has spotlessly clean and very modern caravans, has friendly and helpful staff and residents and is dog friendly, then this is the one for you. There are shops, takeaways and pubs within a couple of minutes drive and it is ideally located just off the A548. So every morning you literally turn right and you’re on the main road to everything! We’ve just had a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing week there with the dog (who had plenty of doggy company). As I’ve noted the rental caravans are like new and spotlessly clean, equipped with everything necessary for cooking and eating and we had a great balcony with chairs and a table for al fresco dining. The dog loved it and we thought it was fantastic. It might add 5 minutes on to your day when going somewhere but it’s so worth it to be in a clean, friendly, relaxed environment. If that’s what you’re looking for then this park is an absolute gem.

We stayed here for a week and had the best time! Caravan was lovely and clean and comfortable had everything we needed. Site clean and tidy with a kids play park although our kids are older so didnt use it. About a 30-40 minute walk or few minutes drive to talacre beach with cafes and amusements really nice beach with a lighthouse and can walk right along to gronant beach/dunes. Places we visited we did need to drive to but scenery in Wales is stunning and worth the driving. No shop onsite but a petrol station with shop just a few minutes walk and aldi/lidl etc in nearby prestatyn (about an 8 minute drive). Wish we could have stayed longer!

Left yesterday after a week long stay at this lovely small caravan park, very quiet and peaceful. The location was ideal, near to beach and Prestatyn town etc. The caravan was spotlessly clean, so comfortable and the outside gated decking was ideal for dogs. The staff were very friendly and helpful and will be definitely visiting again.

3rd time visiting this lovely site and we have booked again to come back later this year before we have left, if you’re looking for the perfect quiet get away this is perfect for you! It’s literally located minutes away via car to the beach, local shops and much more, within walking distance you can visit the garage store (located opposite the site) plus some restaurants within walking distance also, the park is really well maintained plus the most friendly people around and the launderette is perfect to get the washing and drying done before returning home, we hope to purchase a caravan on this site in the next 12/18 months so we can enjoy the site alot more!
