What visitors say
Back from a fabulous and relaxing time after two nights at Peak View Shepherd Huts. We stayed in Eric and just loved it, the hut was perfect for us and our two small dogs. When we arrived Hazel helpfully showed us around and said if we needed anything to just get in contact. The wonderful wood fired hot tub was private and almost ready to go (we got there a little earlier than planned) for a perfect evening of star watching and was lucky enough to see two shooting stars! The space was very clean with a bathroom, large bed, sofa, fridge, hob, microwave, and log fire. There was seating outside on the decking or grass with a fire pit also. We loved the Halloween decs and breakfast/sweet treats hamper which was a lovely touch. The area is well kept with grass and a gravel path from the car parking space which is right outside the hut. There is an area to let dogs run off lead also. Worth noting, dogs can get out and there is a road nearby so if you have a particularly adventurous dog, maybe a long lead is best. There's also steps up to the hut and the hot tub. You can walk into nearby Old Glossop where there is a garden centre on the way, a lovely taproom and some pubs, but there is no path for some of the 20 to 30 min walk. This is just at the beginning/end of the walk. A dog friendly taxi service would be brilliant here as walking on the country roads isn't ideal, but this is no criticism of Peak View. We loved it so much we are booking again for next year with an extra eve!

Thank you so much for a wonderful Easter break. Mac gave such a warm welcome and Hazel’s attention to detail was really appreciated. The hut was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hot tub was perfect too. We’ve already booked to stay in the summer and looking forward to our stay. Thanks again. Karen, Paul & Jessie Dog.

Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay here, Hazel met us on arrival she was lovely, with the amazing views, hot tub, everything you need in the hut, the little basket of goodies was a lovely touch, TV with DVDs and a hot chocolate in bed after a soak in the hot tub was perfect way to end the night. Nice and peaceful. Will definitely be coming again, and its only 15 mins drive from where we live, wish we had known about this place sooner! Love it 😍

We stayed at the Meadow Hut for Valentine's day! It was absolutely brilliant! The hut is very cozy - the host even decorated it for the season - and the hot tub and the view made the stay really special! We're definitely going to return!
