Burton Constable Holiday Park

East Riding of Yorkshire

Camping and touring within a historic 200-acre estate near Sproatley, eight miles from Hull

About Burton Constable Holiday Park

Burton Constable Holiday Park occupies part of the grounds of Burton Constable Hall, an Elizabethan mansion with parkland originally laid out by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, in the village of Sproatley around eight miles east of Hull. The park has been run by the Constable family and their team for more than fifty years and has grown into one of the larger and better-equipped sites in the area, while retaining a genuine sense of its historic and rural setting.

Touring pitches, grass tent pitches with and without electric hook-ups, and a range of glamping pods and static lodges sit within the estate's parkland, and the park is dog-friendly, allowing up to three dogs per pitch. On-site facilities include modern shower and toilet blocks, a shop, a bar with regular entertainment and food service, and fishing on the estate's North Lake, which draws anglers as much as campers. The wider grounds, including an arboretum and the historic hall itself, are available to explore, giving the site a different feel from a purely functional touring park.

Sproatley and the surrounding villages are within easy reach for shops and pubs, and the East Yorkshire coast at Hornsea and Aldbrough is around twenty minutes' drive, making the park a good base for combining a Hull city visit with time on the coast. Hull city centre itself, including the Museums Quarter and marina, is a straightforward drive of well under half an hour.
