First time visit to this lovely little café set on the banks of the Humber and it certainly won't be our last!! Lovely friendly welcome by the staff who very efficiently take orders at the counter then prepare and deliver your food to your table. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. It is a bonus being a dog friendly cafe, as you are able to combine a healthy walk with your four-legged friend with a tasty breakfast / lunch / or snack afterwards. We made the most of the lovely Spring sunshine and ate at one of the outside tables, but there was plenty of seating inside, had the weather not been so kind to us. We highly recommend this location and are looking forward to our next visit.

Well what can I say, Claires pie is immense Meat is melt in the mouth.... the crust you can rip away and the extra gravy just drips down the side of your face! On a serious note.... Always feel welcome when we come to the hideaway, lovely family orientated business. We like to support local as much as possible. Always come when we get a day off together without the children. The food is always good, nothing is ever too much. Ive even driven just to get to portions of pie to take home when we are both on alternate shifts. The desserts are great which we do take home. Ive even tried breakfast which is banging! Claire and Martin are a loveable friendly couple and have a great group working along side them. I recommend the hideaway to my family and the odd acquaintance. Keep up the good work! Gordan aint got anything on you 😉

31/05/25 A lovely birthday treat for our friend. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and good portions. It was 12 noon when we were standing in the queue. The cafe was busy inside and outside. The staff worked well dealing with each order in turn. Ensuring that they cleaned down before moving on to the next customer. I had the hot chocolate, no trimmings, and a chip sandwich. The hot chocolate had a rich chocolate taste. I was impressed with the chip sandwich. The bread was fresh, soft, and buttered. The chips were golden brown and numerous. The tuna sandwich was over flowing, served with salad and crisps. The cheesecakes were morish. Lovely after a walk along the river bank and around the nature reserve. The staff were polite, friendly, and professional.. even though 98% of the tables were full, our food came quickly. Totally recommend this cafe and venue
