What visitors say
Blackthorn Camping site Whilst walking the coastal path I arrived here very tired and hot ,not having booked in advance. I was made very welcome by the friendly owner and was able to pitch my tent on a beautiful large field with flat cut grass. The facilities were excellent and super clean, with a room with electric kettle and microwave, really appreciated for a walker along with picknic tables, better than sitting on the floor. All this for a special rate for coastal walkers. This is a good place to stop if you’re doing the coastal path as it’s just up the hill from Porth Dafach. A really peaceful night with no noise made for a perfect stay , thank you.

We stayed here for two nights in a campervan. For the price per night I feel the site is overpriced. Yes, the views are amazing, but the facilities are quite frankly, still located in the 1960s. I didn’t see any cleaners during our stay and the washing machine was out of order and apparently had been for weeks. No staff engagement on arrival or during. The microwave was welcome but sharing a dishwashing area with pooing nesting swifts was not.

We stayed here for a 2 week stay in our tourer, first week of September. We chose our own pitch, beautiful with stunning views of the sea and mountains, even better that we could pitch our van whichever way we wanted, and of course we made sure we got the best view! Not ever been able to do that on any other site, in the 10 years we have been touring. The site is very well maintained, shower block and toilets are very clean, had no issues there. It has a dog exercise area which is fab.. our pouches loved it! The site is very peaceful and left to it. The surrounding area is just stunning, a few little beaches near by, and only a few miles down the road it a retail park everything you need. Lots of takeaways, restaurants nearby. We absolutely loved it here, it's definitely our new favourite place, and we will be definitely back next year! Thank you to the owners of Blackthorn Farm Campsite, you have a wonderful place here, thank you for having us! Pitch number 22 gorgeous!

Probably my favourite campsite I've stayed on. The location and views were spectacular I stepped out of my tent and I could see the sea. The area was so quiet and peaceful. I thought this was going to be a basic campsite but I was pleasantly surprised the toilets and showers were very pleasant and clean and well stocked with soap and toilet paper. They also had a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for an extra fee also in the laundry room was a fridge a freezer a kettle and a microwave that were free to use which I think is a brilliant extra on a campsite as it meant we had somewhere to go and make a hot meal when it was raining outside.
