We stayed in one of the three cozy camping pods at this delightful little site on the beautiful island of Canna. Stunning views over Sanday to Rum. Toilets were clean and well maintained. We particularly loved the hot showers and the fact that there were hooks, a towel rail and a washhand basin in each of the two cublicles. There was a pucnic table and a firepit outside each pod and logs were available for a fee from the cooking shack which was well stocked with pots, pans, crockery and culery plus a single burner gas hob.

Really cozy camping pods (though pretty tight for 4 people, especially with rain). Warm showers, fully stocked cook house, comfy beds, home made breakfast, friendly hosts! Would definitely recommend!

This is a review of the bunkhouse which is owned by same people/ connected to the campsite. So good things about bunkhouse: nice views, good hot shower, there is a working fridge, your luggage gets taken to campsite from ferry (so only 5 minute walk to bunkhouse with your luggage), decent bedding. Things that need improved: it's damp especially in the bedrooms, the bathroom smells, they say they are well stocked but it's a pretty poorly stocked kitchen (for example maybe only 2 pots), the firewood they give you is awful/ the fire doesn't burn well, the lady who manages the bunkhouse isn't that friendly, the electrics trip if you have a heater and more than 2 lights on. It's a shame as it just needs a little TLC and it would be amazing. It just feels a bit uncared for.

The location of the campsite is amazing. You're free to pick a spot to camp, whether that's inside the fence or outside of it. We chose to stay on top of a nearby hill, with a magnificent view of Canna and Sanday. There are (clean) toilets and showers at the campsite, plus a cooking shack with a gas stove, pans, plates and cutlery, mugs, an honesty box, and a water tap. It also has a timetable for the ferry, plus a handy map of the island. Isebail picked up our luggage at the pier, which meant we could leisurely walk to the campsite after arrival — a nice walk past the community shop, the cafe, Canna House, etc. She brought us breakfast (ordered separately) on the last day and went out of her way to make sure it was vegan, with fresh fruit and a bottle of oat milk. After that she also took our luggage back to the pier, which meant a lovely, easy walk for us again.
