The Tobermory Hotel

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Staff were very nice. The lady on reception and gent on the bar fri / sat were good energy. Breakfast was very good. I was expecting a continental so i was pleasantly surprised to see a full breakfast buffet that was cooked well. The coffee however wasn't the best. I think i had two sips. We also had dinner here and enjoyed it. Room was spacious with a lovely view. I found the bed to be very comfy. The room was clean although we moved the bed so our son didn't fall off (16 month old that co-sleeps with us) and beneath the bed it was exceptionally dusty (more than you would expect). Would stay again.

Lovely clean fresh room,we had room 10 which had a fantastic view of the bay so we could watch all the activities on the seafront and marina. The shower was superb! Like having a pressure washer hose you down. Reception staff are welcoming and happy to help. Dog friendly,no dogs are allowed in the restaurant but you can eat in the lovely bar area which has great tables looking on to the sea, and the breakfast room and snug are fine with pets. Location is perfect as it is right on the main street and it's next to the chocolate shop! 😁

Great location, lovely views from breakfast room and front of hotel. The shower and toiletries were luxurious. However, the room was recommended for 3 adults. I think it was more suited to 2 adults and 2 kids. When sofa bed was out there was very little room to move. They had lovely brown bread but when I asked who the supplier was the waitress didn't know. I had a lovely smoked salmon sandwich for breakfast. Unfortunately the bacon, sausage and eggs were luke warm. Staff need to check temperature with a probe more often. Warmed plates might be an idea too. Having stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom self catering for 3 days in Oban, with lots of free onsite activities, for less money than 2 nights b and b here I didnt think it was value for money. There was no full length wardrobe either and when we arrived there was a dirty towel in the cupboard. I would have scored higher if it wasn't for these unfortunate incidents.

We just returned home from our stay at The Tobermory Hotel and what a gorgeous weekend we had. Our room was clean, comfortable and everything we needed for a relaxing break. Sam, Mia, Hector, Cam and all of the staff looked after us so well - even reserving our favourite window table for breakfast and evening drinks. The hotel and bar is dog friendly. Everyone fussed over our Lana which made it that much more enjoyable. Evenings in the bar were filled with the freshest seafood and lots of great drinks… and amazing music! We watched the world go by along the Tobermory waterfront. If you enjoy taking things at a slower pace, relaxing with good people and good tunes, The Tobermory Hotel is the place for you. We can’t wait to come back.
