Adgestone Campsite and Touring Park

A nice moderate to large campsite in a small village. It's only just opened so a few things are still on the to-do list. First impressions, a proper campsite without children entertainment or pubs. A small, not very well equipped playground ( hopefully this is on the to-do list) and a very nice outdoor heated pool. The individual sites are large and have either sin, shade or a bit of both to choose from. It's a nice place but a few things need to be considered. The pool is lovely but small for the size of the campsite, the inflatables don't help. Presently they have no rules in place and individuals were in the pool drinking alcohol! On a positive note, you can go to the pool any time you like without booking in, great to have that freedom. It would be nice to have benches next to the pool and playpark. The toilets, showers and sinks are clean but old fashioned. A small shop is onsite, a little lake and this campsite is dog friendly. For the price I think it's good value for money.

No rooms as such. There are great plans for this recently opened campsite. Beautiful tranquil setting. Pool and woodland walk with lake. Which can be fished for a small fee. Excellent place to sit and chill under the canopy of trees when you need shade. Also benches and tabkes to take a picnic to. The kid's will love. They will also love the slide ,swings and basket ball nets. The site has mature hedging and trees, which make this feel for us and ideal place to put our campervan. Good clean washing facilities, showers and even somewhere to iron your clothes if staying fir a long vacation. You won't want to leave. At night as there is no light pollution the stars are really amazing above this site. Plenty of nature to see as The river Yar runs along the outer side. On the other side of the river is the nature reserve.

We have just had 10 days at Adgestone and loved every minute of it. The site is beautiful, with hedges and trees, in a rural location, so very quiet. Right next to a great cycle path. The swimming pool is brilliant. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean, with boiling hot water always available. The family shower rooms were great, as was the laundry. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The playpark could do with a bit of an overhaul but otherwise I can't fault this site.
