We've had a fantastic stay at The Lakes Rookley! Of all the Away Resorts locations we’ve visited, this one is easily our favorite. Because it’s a smaller site, it feels so much more relaxed and peaceful compared to the larger parks, but it still has everything you need. The entertainment was brilliant and kept our 1 and 5-year-olds completely engaged. Everything was spotlessly clean, and every single member of staff we met was exceptionally happy, helpful, and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended for families looking for a stress-free getaway on the Isle of Wight!

I really wanted to give a higher star rating because the staff at reception and the manager was lovely and did try to resolve our issues. The reason for the lower Star rating is on the food and the cleanliness. The first caravan we entered had blood on the carpet and sink, the second we were given an upgrade and the caravan still had cleanliness issues including a rat that like to reside on the decking. The food also was lacking in taste. We were given a good voucher and the whole party left the food, in the second day using this voucher we were told different chef, we chose to only order dessert and was informed the freezer had been left open and ice-cream was not available so given alternative. The food was nicely presented but taste was poor. The location is beautiful and easy drive to local attractions. The park also gives discount for ferry travel to mainland

We had booked a family vacay stay at the Lake Rooley’s and when we reached there ,we were disappointed. The reason is that the facilities say that WiFi is included so we tried to log in to the WiFi but unfortunately when the guest services was contacted, we were told there is no WiFi installed in that lodge (no 204) which was very disappointing. The TV wasn’t working which was later on fixed after multiple complaints. No handwash in the toilets, just a small tube of washing up liquid was provided. The fridge wasn’t as cooling as expected. We had three rooms out of which the smallest room had two beds which was very uncomfortable. A person couldn’t even walk in that room as there was a very narrow space between the beds. We had to put the second bed aside by ourselves so that the person could atleast move a little freely in that room. The ambience was good but they should improve the guest services and atleast have someone so people can contact and get their issues resolved as they keep pushing it on each other and end the conversation by saying they can’t do anything about it. Also they shouldn’t allot rooms which lack the facilities mentioned on online booking websites. Co-op,Asda are easily accessible by car. Wish they improve the facilities so that people don’t be disappointed and have a happy vacation.

Visited the site June 2026 and it was lovely. Will definitely be returning. Stay in an exclusive lodge with a hot tub. House was lovely, clean and modern and spacious. We did have a few ants but the staff laid traps as soon as we raised the issue. The site itself is well kept and the lake was peacefull. Location was great too with and asda 5 minutes drive away.
