What visitors say
Great site people are so friendly, every body speaks to you regardless if they know you or not. It is peaceful and quite. There is bingo in the games room st weekend if you like that sort of thing. The site is spotlessly clean, the grass is cut just about every week. I love it here visit and see for yourself. 5 star site, not for those that want slot machines and noisy pubs sorry

This is a great site for adults and kids alike. The facilities are very good with hot showers and clean toilets. The site manager is a very friendly guy who has a great rapport with guests at the site. We had a lovely pitch right on the edge of the river which was great for our children who enjoyed skimming stones into it. Theres a lovely play area for the kids and a small football pitch. The games room has a pool table and a wide screen tv. All in all a beautiful site in a beautiful location.

If I could have reviewed this site with no stars I would have. I booked three nights for my family on the basis of the great reviews on Google, many of which were recent. The daily rate was between £26 and £28 so I thought this was going to be a really nice site. How wrong was I??? The pitches were so close together. Next to us was a party with numerous tents who were celebrating a birthday. The noise and music went on until 12.30 am. We had a toddler of 20 months with us so not great. Play area and games room tired and not particularly well equipped, shop not well stocked. The final nail in the coffin was the state of the toilets and showers which were filthy. The ladies shower had a dead mouse in the plug hole which had clearly been there for some time. The other shower had a dead bird in it. The gents wasn't much better. All this despite the website saying the facilities were kept immaculately clean. Whilst the owner was friendly I can't understand all the great reviews. We definitely won't be returning.

This was a fantastic wee find for us. Very easy to find on the A68 and convenient distance from Jedburgh. The facilities are nice. Toilets are clean and the showers have amazing pressure on them. There is a fantastic play area for the kids that we got a bit jealous we were to big to play in them ourselves. They have fire pits you can borrow which is just perfect for sitting out in the evenings. We went as a mixed group of friends in a tent but there were families, couples and older folks with a mix of tents and tourers. You're right next to the water which I love as we were able to paddle when it was warm. The warden and his wife were so friendly. The site is dog friendly but the only down side for us is there is regular guns shot that go off all day starting at 6am and conti if through the day until dusk. So sadly one of our dog's spent the whole weekend stressed as she doesn't lol the bangs and they are so regular that when we do get her settled for a time they go off again. This is more a heads up rather than something to put you off from going. We definitely plan on going back.
