Hillhead Hideaways

We had the BEST stay at Hillhead Hideaways and honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more! My partner booked the weekend away, and it was the perfect surprise. The lodge was absolutely spotless, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. On arrival, we were even welcomed with thoughtful little touches like fresh bread, butter, and other wee extras which was such a lovely surprise and really set the tone for the stay. The hot tub was incredible – the perfect place to unwind while taking in the stunning views and peaceful surroundings. We also purchased the BBQ package, which came from a local butcher, and the quality of the food was outstanding. It was fresh, delicious, and made the whole experience feel even more special. The hosts were fantastic from start to finish and have put so much thought into every detail. They even provide a book packed full of recommendations for things to do in the area, as well as great local places to eat, which was such a helpful touch. We genuinely had zero complaints. The whole place has such an amazing vibe, and we left already talking about when we’ll be back. This will definitely become a regular visit for us. We can’t recommend Hillhead Hideaways highly enough!

We spent 3 nights at Hillhead Hideaways. The location is brilliant. You are a short drive away from stunning north coastal scenery. Plenty of quaint littles villages and towns with plenty things to do. The cabin was perfect. Clean and equipped with everything you need, including a hot tub and bbq room. Not to mention the fact there was milk, bacon, eggs and bread in the fridge for us arriving to get us sorted for our first morning. The perfect getaway to totally relax. Waking up to fresh air and complete silence was amazing. Would absolutely come here again and can't recommend enough.

Stayed here with husband and 2 teens and I can honestly say this was the most memorable and magical stay we have ever had. The accommodations were excellent, well thought out and well equipped and nothing can compare to the view! We wanted for nothing and they even had breakfast waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived. This is our happy place and we would definitely recommend highly!

We are just back from staying for two nights. A family of two adults, two children age 14 and 11 and also our dog. From the moment we walked through the door everything was perfect 👌 The pods are clean and modern and finished to a high standard. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need, kitchen roll, salt, washing up liquid and even tea, coffee and sugar. There was also a wee welcome pack of bacon, eggs, milk, bread, butter and jam which was appreciated, and thank you for the chocolate 🙂 Being in the pod that was dog friendly, the hosts even have dog toys, bowls and a wee jar of treats for them. The pods are situated at the top of a hill and the views were absolutely beautiful. The hot tub in it's own cabin is a excellent idea, regardless of the weather you can go in and use it, which we did. The glass roof is a nice added touch. We also made use of the bbq pod which was well equipped again with everything you may need, another nice little luxury. The hosts have honestly thought of everything and I honestly wouldn't hesitate on staying there again. Thank you.
