We’re just finishing up our 3 day break here. The site is absolutely gorgeous. The view is amazing (we are pitch 42 for reference). Toilet and bathrooms clean and spacious. You have to pay for the hairdryers but they do have plugs which is a huge bonus as camp sites hardly ever have plugs in the toilets. Pot wash has multiple sinks. Lounge is great to relax in. Although we didn’t use it, the campers kitchen is a great idea and is definitely useful to have! It is a great location to explore Keswick and all the walks around Derwent water. The staff are so lovely. Couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Showed us to our pitch and helped us get set up when we were struggling with pegs. Cannot fault this place in any way at all. We will be coming back and we would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Keswick ☺️

Stayed in a Motorhome so reviewing from that perspective. Pitches are good, flat with great views over Derwentwater. Walkable to Keswick, but it is not a short walk. Good service and good facilities. Clean. Shop on site for essentials. Showers good 4 out of 5.

Just been on a 5 day holiday and can't praise this place enough. The facilities are all top notch, staff really friendly and can't do enough to help you. The pitches are well kept and large. The views are outstanding and the location is perfect for walkers, relaxation and if you fancy a trip into town or other places there's a bus stop at the end of the road if you have not got transport that takes you to various parts of the lake district. I can't praise this place enough and have already booked again for next year.

If you are planning to book a stay here, make sure to pack your steel-toed boots, your fastest stopwatch, and a healthy sense of irony. For the price per night, "underwhelming" is putting it mildly. Here is what you actually need to know before booking: The 37-Second Dash: The shower block is clean, but the digital controls are apparently on a strict budget. You get exactly 37 seconds of water per press. It’s less of a relaxing wash and more of a high-stakes, high-intensity cardio workout. The Awning Shredder: The touring pitches are covered in 20mm mechanically crushed rock. These sharp, angular stones will absolute shred your awning flooring to ribbons. Walking in stocking feet is a total no-go unless you want a free trip to accident and emergency. Grass is Premium: If you own a caravan or motorhome, grass seems to be treated like a rare, priceless artifact. If your idea of a lazy summer afternoon involves sitting out on a nice patch of green, you’ll definitely want to book elsewhere. The "Picturesque" View: The view is certainly a conversation starter. You do get a lovely backdrop of distant mountains and a lake, but it is perfectly framed by a massive, looming commercial mast right in the foreground. The Verdict: Far too expensive for what is effectively a sharp gravel pit with a countdown timer. Look elsewhere if you actually want comfort.
