We stayed here for 4 nights over the bank holiday weekend and have never stayed in a campsite with views anywhere as stunning as here. The pitches are so spacious and the whole site well maintained. There are toilets, a free electric shower and a washing up area. All kept immaculately clean and because its a small site, you never find yourself queuing or waiting to use them. For those who don't use the electric hook up, there's even ice packs in a freezer that you can borrow for your fridge. This is only a small site, for 6 campers and 2 glamping pods. Adults only and a quiet site. Perfect for couples who want a peaceful getaway in a stunning location with beautiful walks all around you and a cluster of village pubs a five minute walk away. We had food and drinks at The Bluebell and can highly recommend it. There are plenty of stunning villages and towns to explore within a short drive too all which take you through breathtaking countryside on the way. We took out Kayak out on Semerwater Lake which was set in stunning scenery and a great day out for adults and families. Great for paddle boarding and swimming too as the water is fairly shallow. You pay a small fee at a local farm and can park right by the water. Sean, the host of Wharfe Camping, was so friendly and helpful and had good local knowledge. Nothing is too much trouble and you can really tell he takes pride in the site.

We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend for 3 nights and honestly couldn’t fault the site or the lovely owner, Sean. We had a small misunderstanding on our part, as we were using electric hook-up which we hadn’t actually booked, but Sean handled it so kindly and professionally and sorted everything quickly for us, which we really appreciated. The campsite itself is in a fantastic location, tucked away in a beautiful valley with stunning views all around. The grounds are really well looked after and you can tell Sean takes a lot of pride in maintaining the place. There is 1 shower and 2 WCs, but we never found ourselves waiting around to use the facilities. The whole site has such a peaceful, slow-paced feel to it — the kind of place where you naturally have a lazy morning with a coffee just taking in the scenery. Location-wise, it’s around 25 minutes from Appletreewick, and we would definitely recommend heading to The Craven Arms pub — you won’t regret it. It’s also around 40 minutes from Hawes, where you can visit the Wensleydale Creamery and The Green Dragon Inn. The waterfall behind the pub is also a must-see. It’s £4 entry per person, but in our opinion completely worth it. There’s also a hike opposite the campsite, and we really enjoyed watching people head up and take in the views. If you’re looking for a quaint, quiet, respectful and peaceful campsite, this is absolutely the place for you. We had such a lovely stay and we honestly can’t wait to go back.

We had a brilliant few nights at Wharfe Campsite in Kettlewell. The pitches were spacious and private, with beautiful views of the Wharfedale valley. The toilets, shower and washing up area were always clean and never had to wait to use them. It was the perfect place to explore the local area. We spent a day at Malham exploring the cove, limestone pavement and Tarn. We also walked along the Dales Way straight from the campsite. We will definitely be booking to come back here again in the future! Thank you!

Excellent campsite, very well laid out with plenty of space between the 5 pitches and campervan, pod sites all with privacy hedging between each. Facilities were excellent and exceptionally clean. Sinks for washing up, fridge, toilets and shower block. Running hot water. What more can you ask for. Host Sean was friendly and very helpful with suggestions on walks, nearby facilities etc. Being an adult only site with minimal noise was very relaxing and a safe enviroment as a single female camping. Cannot recommend high enough and will definiately be looking to return in the near future.
