One of the best campsites in Inverie . Nice pitches , plenty of fire pits with seats . Large shelter to escape the weather or midges depending on what season. New for 2026 compost toilet. A tap . Views to die for. What mair do you need?

Midge free due to the wind from the sea! Has toilets and seemed to be building new ones or was it even showers? Has a cosy cabin for cooking or hanging out if weather is rubbish. Donation of £12 in box or online from QR code.

Stayed two nights. For me and such like me, there are no instructions at all! So I will try. The campsite is a pleasant 15-20 walk from the Old Forge/pier When you walk in, on your right is the sea and on your left is the bog (like some from the hills have eyes). Then on your left after is the kitchen and midge hideout. Camp anywhere except the road, the helipad is also used for camping! There are about 8 open fire pits, get one if you can, mine was stocked with wood, else free wood is between the toilet and the kitchen. The kitchen is a cabin free from midges, unless the wind is blowing. Washing up is at the back of the kitchen. There is an honesty box, just drop £5 per person, per night. Helps them pay for the wood and the upkeep. There are no showers. Amazing views in every direction, the others there were fairly quiet. Probably in my top 5 campsites ever.

Simple campsite with a compost toilet and a tap around the corner. It’s not manned so you just turn up and pitch on the grass. Make sure to leave your donation in the box provided by the little hut!
